The MICE Quotient is a great tool to use. It is a concept that came from the books Character and Viewpoint and How to Write Science Fiction, both by Orson Scott Card. Each letter in MICE stands for a type of story that exists, mainly milieu, idea, character, and event.

Session 2: What is the Essence of Your Story?

Session 2 is bit technical, so please take your time and think about the things below. There are going to be four parts to this session, and each part will make up a significant piece of your story. They involve genre, point of view, acts/parts of your story, and the M.I.C.E. quotient.
